Dr. Masashi Fujii

Masashi Fujii, MD, PhD, earned his doctorate in 2019 at the Next-Generation Advanced Medical Center of Tottori University Hospital, focusing on medical device development. A board-certified gastroenterologist, he has extensive experience in endoscopic diagnosis and therapy while serving as Chief Medical Officer for a start-up developing medical simulators. In 2020 he founded R ZERO Inc., a Tottori University spin-off, and as CEO established the first private clinical laboratory in the San’in region to provide PCR testing for COVID-19 and organized large-scale vaccination centers in collaboration with local governments. In 2022 he opened Kurayoshi City Endoscopy Clinic to deliver community-based cancer screening and continues research and doctoral supervision on medical device innovation at Tottori University, where he is an Assistant Professor, and a part-time lecturer at Tottori Junior College. In 2025 he founded and became chair of the International Endoscopic Preventive Medicine Foundation and is currently pursuing a doctoral program in Information Engineering.
